The Falé Lā ABA Approach
Falé Lā means "House of Sun" in Samoan. It reflects our belief that every child deserves to feel the sun's warmth, safety, belonging, and hope.
At Falé Lā ABA, we empower clients to grow into their brightest selves. We are committed to doing the meaningful work alongside them, expanding opportunities and helping them access every place the sun reaches.
Our Vision: We strive to provide an environment where every individual is learning.
Why Choose Falé Lā ABA?
Clinically
Led
Your child’s care is guided by a BCBA owner who is directly invested in clinical quality, not corporate quotas.
Conveniently Located
Located on 3030 Finley Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515, we’re proud to serve local families with care that feels personal, not transactional.
Always
Consistency
Your child deserves familiar faces and consistent care, not constant transitions.
Socially Significant
We deliver compassionate, evidence-based care with a focus on real-world progress and long-term relationships.
Experienced Clinicians
We prioritize hiring experienced professionals and training our therapists to work with people on the autism spectrum.
What to Expect from Therapy
Teaching the way your child learns
Every child has different needs. Our clinicians are dedicated to reducing cookie-cutter teaching and making every session specific to your child.
Finding time for fun and learning
Therapeutic spaces that allow for natural teaching opportunities as well as more structured learning environments that limit distractions.
Meeting your child where they’re at
We adjust to your child's needs on any given day, whatever that may look like.
Doing the hard work
Not every lesson is easy and not every day is the best day. We are willing to do the work that it takes to address skills and behaviors that are hard while demonstrating compassion.
Our Core Values
Effective Care
Every client deserves ethical, high-quality care that leads to meaningful, socially significant progress using evidence-based practices.
Learning
Growth is at the heart of everything we do. We cultivate a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement for clients and our team.
Compassion
The work we do is meaningful, but not always easy. We prioritize compassion to ensure families and clinicians feel supported and understood.
Sustainability
Consistency matters. We are dedicated to building a strong environment that fosters lasting relationships and stability for the families we serve.

Our Unique Value Proposition: A Rare Alignment of Need, Impact, and Culture
Falé Lā ABA sits at the convergence of three powerful forces: an urgent and growing need for quality autism care, a proven insurance-backed revenue model, and a culturally rooted, family-led mission built to scale.
What Makes Us Different
-
BCBA-Owned & Clinician-Led – Clinical decisions stay with those who know the children best. Our Managing Clinical Director Partner makes every clinical therapy decision with full autonomy.
-
The Misericordia Covenant – Ten percent of AO-IL’s net profits, forever, to Misericordia Heart of Mercy. This isn't charity. It's continuity. While we help children thrive today, we're also investing in their tomorrow.
-
Purpose-Built Sanctuary – A 5,100 sq. ft. clinic designed from the ground up for neurodiverse needs: sound-dampening materials, therapy swings, rock walls, crash pads, and Montessori-inspired learning areas.
You don't just get a clinic. You get a community. A covenant. A commitment.

MA, BCBA, LBA
Managing Clinical Director Partner, Falé Lā ABA
Kailani Bartley brings the perfect blend of clinical excellence, compassionate care, to Falé Lā ABA.
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Illinois, she has spent years working with children on the autism spectrum and their families — always with an eye toward building something better. Kailani is also proudly neurodivergent (ADHD) and has been open about how her own lived experience informs her practice. She has seen repeatedly that neurodiverse individuals whether clinicians, support staff, or client thrive when the right person, the right company, and the right role come together.
At Falé Lā ABA, she is building that alignment.
"I love my Samoan heritage, and that's why I selected to co-brand the clinic as Falé Lā ABA, which means 'House of Sun.' To build a place where families feel seen, where clinicians feel supported, and where clients can genuinely grow – that's the dream." Kailani is joined in this mission by her young daughter, her husband, and her mother — three generations of family support, reminding everyone who walks through the doors that this is a place built by a family, for families.

Our Partnership with Autism Optimism Illinois:
Falé Lā ABA is an Autism Optimism Illinois Therapy Center. That means families get the best of both worlds: a locally rooted, culturally rich clinic backed by a proven, scalable infrastructure.
How the Partnership Works:
-
Clinical decisions are made by Kailani Bartley, BCBA, with full autonomy and clinical authority. She is the Managing Clinical Director Partner, and she owns her clinical practice.
-
Business operations – HR, compliance, insurance billing, credentialing, revenue cycle management – are handled behind her by Autism Optimism Franchising. They do the lifting so Kailani can provide care as best as possible.
-
Community investment is powered by AO-IL's SEC-regulated crowdfunding campaign, where families and supporters can own a stake in the clinic's success starting at just $100.
-
Philanthropy flows through the Misericordia Covenant: 10% of AO-IL's net profits, forever, to Misericordia Heart of Mercy — the very place where Bennett Borkowski now calls home.
This model is called "Professional Liberation." It means clinicians can focus entirely on the kids while the business does the heavy lifting. And it means families get care that is both deeply personal and professionally excellent.

Falé Lā ABA – House of Sun – is more than a clinic. It is a sanctuary of light. It is a place where Samoan heritage meets clinical excellence. Where a BCBA-owner makes every clinical decision. Where a father's love for his son (The Bennett Test) guides every choice. And where every family who walks through the doors is welcomed not as a client, but as part of an extended ohana (family).
We're not just opening a clinic. We're opening a door to a better life.
